Well we like to call it the Empty Sea. And pretend we're pirates. Hahahahaha yeeeah we're dorks okay.

Um Um Um OH!
We went proselyting again! It was great, I kinda sorta taught two lessons in very broken Tagalog and bore my testimony and stuff, but it was great! Lots of walking, lots of sweating... and lots of people.

Okay but really I"m out of time, I need to head to the Temple for a Temple session.

Mahal ko po kayo!

Here are some pictures.

Dear Sisters and Elders,

As we begin 2016, Sister Ostler and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for serving a mission! Thank you for your faith. Thank you for all of your hard work as you invite others to come unto Christ. You are doing a marvelous job! 2015 ended with the miracle of many baptisms and many families sealed in the temple. You are fulfilling the mission vision. Thank you.

I feel in my heart that this will be a GREAT YEAR...an EPIC YEAR in the work of the Lord in the Philippines Manila Mission. 2016 will be a year that you tell your children and grandchildren about. 2016 will be a year of Miracles. Why do I feel that way? It is because I see your faith and your readiness to pay the price you need to pay.

We do not believe in magic. We do not believe that great things just fall from the sky. But we do believe that, when we exercise faith and do our part, God will send miracles to bless His children. "For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today and forever; and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their faith...Therefore, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people..." (2 Nephi 27:23,26) Ponder what it means when Jesus said: "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO YOU." (Matthew 17:20)

2016 will be the year that we break through the barrier of False Limitations and become the disciples of Christ we were called and set apart to be. We were not sent to the is earth, or sent to this mission, to fail. We were sent here to succeed gloriously.

THIS YEAR I invite you to focus every minute of every day on your purpose as a missionary..."To invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end." Everything you do should have this is your focus...your exercise, your studies, what you eat, the people you talk to and your conversations with your companion.

THIS YEAR, as you invite others to come to Christ, focus on families. Teach the doctrine of the family with great clarity and power. "...The family is central to the Creator's plan for the eternal destiny of His children...the family is ordained of God. Marriage between a man and woman is essential to His eternal plan. Husband and wife have a solemn responsibility to love and care for each other and for their children...Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Successful marriages and families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities." (The Family-A Proclamation to the World) Pray to find Families that are prepared for your message. Families provide strength to each other to live the gospel and receive the great blessings of the temple. We invite ALL people to come to Christ, but we focus on families.

THIS YEAR, as you invite others to come to Christ, keep the mission vision in your mind. Envision each person and each family on the the stairway to exaltation. Establish One Conversion Indicator Per Week as your companionship goal. As you plan and work for this, many people will be baptized, come into full activity, prepare for the temple and receive their temple covenants.

Dear Elders and Sisters, now is the time to rise to the opportunity. Now is the time to fill the baptism fonts and fill the temple with the precious souls you will find and teach.

THIS YEAR may the Lord strengthen and bless us so that we can say, with Ammon in the Book of Mormon: "Behold the field was ripe, and blessed are ye, for ye did thrust in the sickle, and did reap with your might, yea, all the day long did ye labor; and behold the number of your sheaves (converts)! And they shall be gathered into the garners (temples) that they are not wasted...But behold, they (your converts) are in the hands of the Lord of the harvest and they are his; and he will raise them up at the last day." (Alma 26:5,7)

Mahal ko po kayo!
